blyssful PRODUCTIONS (originally lucid dreams productions) is a sassy, innovative, Vancouver, BC Canada based production company that pushes the boundaries, encourages people to explore, discover and “reveal their edge” through our insightful and current productions and workshops.

We have a unique niche aesthetic that has brought us local, regional, national and international acclaim.

We seek to continue creating and disseminating our work with integrity and quality in both the national and international marketplace whilst teaching our clients to do the same.

blyssful PRODUCTIONS ’ mission is to focus on bringing original, risky, thought provoking, locally devised and created works to the public. 

We believe that the best kind of art, be it music, acting, theatre, film or television come out of social and political awareness. 

In the early 1930’s, when the Group Theatre came about, Sanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Harold Clurman, Elia Kazan, among many others, were all devoted to creating work of the highest integrity.  They brought a depth of spirit, a fervent life and a soul to the stage that was unlike anything North American audiences had ever witnessed.  They were committed to building a new kind of theatre that was truly collaborative and which spoke to the moral and social issues of their time.  They understood that in order to be an effective artist (actor, director, producer, writer, musician) one must bring the truth and their most authentic self to the work. 

They also understood that it was an extremely difficult task and that we are all perpetual students. 

What the Group Theatre had was a hand on the community pulse of the time…their work grew out of a sensitivity to humanity. 

blyssful PRODUCTIONS feels our most important responsibility as artists is to teach the world how to be more ‘human’.  Our work is most vital in this age of technology where people are becoming less connected to one another in the "real" sense. 

David Mamet says, “People go to the theatre so they can see that real communication between human beings is still possible.”

 We are dialed into the national performance creation community through Performance Creation Canada Network and we seek like- minded artists who wish to create and study in our safe, nurturing environment.

We at blyssful productions celebrate our ridiculousness to reveal our edge and to constantly ask questions that others are not bold enough say out loud.

To create create, produce, direct, educate, distribute and perform theatrical offerings to be marketed through not only the traditional avenues of production, live audiences, but also through emerging and new media formats. At blyssful productions we tell stories through issue based dramas and comedies that reflect the on-going realities of our society.

Just as in life, where one is reaching out to another, as in Person to Person, there are always those special voices; those incredible stories; those amazing story tellers; those charismatic entertainers who reach into our souls to make us sit up and take notice.

Once someone falls under the spell of an amazing story and the teller: Then that is the magic of the muse: It knows no boundaries: It erases them.
